MOSCOW, September 23 – RIA Novosti. The official representative of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Iya Malkina, said in a statement after the European Commission’s council meeting of the European Commission that the duty-free import threshold of 1,000 euros to the EAEU has been extended until April 1, 2023. Friday.
“Today, the import of duty-free goods of 1000 euros for individuals has been extended until April 1, 2023,” he said.
He recalled that in the spring of this year, the commission council raised the duty-free threshold to 1,000 euros for goods transported by carriers or by mail, as well as goods imported with baggage by all modes of transport, except air or pedestrian. This threshold is provisionally set until 1 October of the current year.
As Malkina explains, the extension of the measure will help support citizens in the face of regional pressure and avoid shortages of essential goods and critical imports.
