MOSCOW, September 27 – RIA Novosti. The ruble continues to strengthen steadily for some reason, said Agency “Prime” investment strategist UK “Arikapital” Sergei Suverov.
According to the expert, the growth of the national currency is associated with the tax period, but the main factor is the expectation of Western sanctions against the NCC in connection with the referendums. Noting that this situation will reduce the demand for dollars and euros, Suverov emphasized that foreign exchange restrictions are also valid against the US currency.
The investment strategist added that the fall in oil prices, political risks, foreign exchange interventions and the strengthening of the dollar in world markets may negatively affect the ruble.
