Analyst Vasiliev announced the threat of stopping currency trading in dollars and euros
MOSCOW, September 29 – RIA Novosti. The Russians are trying to “sell” the currencies of “unfriendly countries” because of their poisonous nature. said Chief Analyst of the agency “Prime” Sovcombank Mikhail Vasiliev.
The expert recalled that Western countries announced their plans to expand anti-Russian sanctions against the backdrop of the referendum in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. There were fears that the NCC would fall under restrictions that would make currency trading in dollars and euros impossible, as well as increase the risk of currency freeze in Russian brokerage accounts.
According to Vasiliev, in such a situation, citizens and companies decided to switch to rubles and currencies of “friendly countries”. The expert emphasized that the Russian authorities began to de-dollarize, which led to the reduction of the role of the currency in the national economic and financial systems.
