LIPETSK, September 30 – RIA Novosti. Regional governor Igor Artamonov said that the Lipetsk region will receive an additional 296 million rubles from the federal budget to support local agricultural companies.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said the previous day that Russian farmers will receive an additional 10 billion rubles for grain production, the funds will go to 64 regions.
“We understand the possible risks of falling grain purchase prices and increased costs for agricultural producers due to the unstable situation in the markets caused by the actions of unfriendly countries. Therefore, this is necessary. We will allocate another 10 billion rubles for the production and sale of grain to provide additional support to farmers,” he said.
Artamonov noted that with this support, Lipetsk farmers will be able to cover up to 50 percent of their costs for the production and sale of wheat, rye, barley and corn.
