Inflation in Poland reached a record high of 17.2% in September
WARSAW, September 30 – RIA Novosti. Inflation in Poland exceeded 17 percent in September statement Main Statistics Office of the Republic.
Polish Finance Minister Magdalena Rzeczkowska told reporters just a week ago that September inflation is forecast at 16.4%.
According to statistics, prices of consumer goods and services in Poland increased by 17.2% in September compared to September last year.
At the same time, prices increased by 1.6% in September compared to August of the current year.
Compared to September of this year, the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages (19.3%), energy (44.2%) and fuel oil (18.3%) increased the most compared to September 2021.
A similar level of inflation in Poland has not been observed since 1997, when it was 17.8%.
