Ukraine imposes new sanctions on 3.6 thousand persons and legal entities of Russia

MOSCOW, 1 October – RIA Novosti. The Ukrainian government agreed on a new sanctions list of 3,600 Russian individuals and legal entities, with the help of the G7 countries in Germany, to increase the pressure on sanctions. Ministry of Economy.

“The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) has decided to impose new sanctions packages against more than 3,600 natural and legal persons on September 30,” the message on the website of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine said.

According to Economy Minister Yuliy Sviridenko, the potential for tougher sanctions is far from exhausted, as noted in a recent meeting with the trade ministers of the G7 countries, especially in Germany. He noted that the government will continue to “synchronize sanctions actions” with international partners.

According to the Ministry, the list includes the children and relatives of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his close associates, representatives of the regional elite and officials of the Russian Federation, representatives of the top leadership of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, oligarchs, representatives. LPR and DPR governments, artists, including citizens of Ukraine. In the referendums, sanctions were also adopted against foreign citizens – international observers. Sanctions were also imposed on main backbone companies, banks, mining, energy, communications, logistics and other sectors.

Earlier, Zelensky said that the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) sanctioned 606 representatives of the Russian authorities. He noted that sanctions were imposed on 28 members of the Russian Security Council, 154 members of the Russian Federation Council, and 424 deputies of the State Duma.
