Analyst Vernikov: It will take decades for a currency to replace the dollar
MOSCOW, October 6 – RIA Novosti. It will take decades to create a currency that can replace the dollar as the world’s reserve currency. Although a strong dollar is negative for emerging economies, its credibility is still high, said Prime agency, independent financial analyst Andrey Vernikov.
He suggested that a real alternative to the dollar for world trade must have a history of at least a few decades. At the moment, even the euro cannot offer such an alternative, and cryptocurrencies that are predicted to play such a role are very volatile. At the same time, trade for national currencies between individual countries is quite possible. In particular, Russia already concludes such agreements with a number of neighboring countries.
