Rosstat posted 0.05% inflation in September after three months of deflation
MOSCOW, October 7 – RIA Novosti. After three months of deflation, Rosstat posted 0.05% monthly inflation in September, with annual price growth falling to 13.68% from 14.3% in August. data statistics department.
In all three summer months, Rosstat recorded deflation in the Russian Federation: 0.52% in August, 0.39% in July and 0.35% in June. On an annual basis, inflation was 14.3% in August, after 15.1% in July.
“In September 2022, compared to August 2022, the consumer price index was 100.05% – 110.46% compared to December 2021,” the message said.
Annual inflation was 13.68% in September.
As noted in the publication of the statistical office, consumer prices increased by 0.2% or more in 31 constituent entities of the Russian Federation (mainly in the Magadan region (1.1%) and in the Stavropol Territory – (0.8%). At the same time, the most In 35 regions, mostly Dagestan and Karelia, consumer prices fell by 0.8% and 0.6%, respectively.
The Central Bank expects annual inflation to be in the range of 11-13%, while the Ministry of Economic Development expects it to be at 12.4%.
