More than 250 negotiations were held by the participants of the business mission in Saudi Arabia

MOSCOW, October 7 – RIA Novosti. According to the Russian Export Center (VEB Group), the diversified business mission involving more than 20 Russian manufacturers was held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) on October 3 and 4 for the first time after a long hiatus.

“Companies conducted more than 250 targeted negotiations with potential partners in two days,” the center adds.

The business delegation at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry opened with a plenary session dedicated to the prospects for practical trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Saudi Arabia. Russian exporters and representatives of Arab businesses were discussed by the Russian Embassy in Saudi Arabia, Advisor to the Minister Alexander Istomin, Russian Federation Trade Representative Stanislav Yankovets, President of the Saudi-Russian Business Council Tarik al-Kahtani, Head of International Projects Development. After the plenary session, the working day continued with a bilateral meeting program. More than 250 meetings took place between the representatives of the business circles of the two countries in the mission field. Saudi business has shown great interest in Russian ICT solutions, in particular cybersecurity elements, unique construction solutions and materials, oil and gas industry products, medical and pharmaceutical products.

In addition, after the talks, Russian exporters visited Saudi businesses.

Also on the second day of the mission, the Russian delegation held a multilateral introductory meeting with Ajlan & Bros Holding Group, one of the largest investment holdings in Saudi Arabia. The event was organized by the Russian Export Center with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Trade Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce.
