Delfi: House prices in Estonia have increased by 196 percent since 2010
HELSINKI, 9 October – RIA Novosti. The portal writes that housing purchase and rental prices in Estonia have increased the most among the European Union countries in the last 12 years. Delphi.
“From 2010 to the second quarter of 2022, house prices in Estonia increased by 196% and rents increased by 214%. In terms of rental prices, Estonia is 75% ahead of Lithuania, which ranks second. Prices there increased by 139 percent,” it says.
According to the European statistics agency Eurostat, from 2010 to the second quarter of 2022, rents in the European Union increased by an average of 18% and home purchase prices by 48%. The biggest drop in home purchase prices over the past 12 years has occurred in Greece, where prices have fallen by 24%, followed by Italy with an 8% drop.
From 2010 to the second quarter of 2022, rental prices also fell the most in Greece with 24%, followed by Cyprus with 0.2%.
