Kudrin: 2023-2025 budget deficit may be higher than estimates, but reserves exist
MOSCOW, November 10 – RIA Novosti. The head of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation, Alexei Kudrin, in an interview with RT, said that the Russian Federation’s 2023-2025 budget deficit may be higher than forecast, but Russia has enough resources to cover it.
Therefore, we cannot worry that Russia will go through difficult times in the next three years. Of course, we have the resources to close the budget deficit.”
The draft federal budget for 2023-2025, approved by the State Duma at first reading, assumes a deficit over the entire three-year period: expected to be 2% of GDP in 2023, to 1.4% of GDP by 2024, and In 2025 – it will fall to 0.7% of GDP.
