KFC’s former division in Russia changed its name to “Unirest”

MOSCOW, November 21 – RIA Novosti. Russian “daughter” Yum! Restaurants (KFC fast food restaurants) LLC “YM! Restaurants International Russia CIS” changed its name to “Unirest” before the sale, it follows from the data Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

It was noted that the restaurants will be opened under the Rostic’s brand. A source from RIA Novosti at the company reported that its phased launches are planned from December in Moscow, the Moscow Region and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra.

Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service, Izhevsk KFC franchise owner Yum! restaurants last week. Konstantin Kotov, then one of the owners of Smart Service, said that the deal is scheduled to be closed before the end of this year, after which the company is waiting for a rebrand.

Yummy! In early March, the brands announced the suspension of operations in Russia of 70 restaurants directly owned by KFC. At the same time, the description did not apply to franchise restaurants, and there are more than a thousand of them.

Yummy! Brands was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. In total Yum! Brands has more than 50,000 restaurants in more than 150 countries. The company’s international brands are KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
