Transneft confirmed that it received a request from Belarus to increase the tariff by 39%
MOSCOW, November 22 – RIA Novosti / Prime. Igor Demin, adviser to the head of the Russian pipeline company, told RIA Novosti, confirmed that Transneft received a call from Belarus to increase its oil transit tariff by 39% next year, defending this by halving its cargo turnover.
Earlier on Tuesday, Telegram news outlet reported that Belarusian Gomeltransneft-Druzhba sent a corresponding letter to Transneft requesting a 39% increase in tariffs to pump oil from its section of the Druzhba gas pipeline.
“Actually, Gomeltransneft-Druzhba wrote us a letter about a 39% increase in tariff from next year, justifying it by halving cargo turnover,” Demin said.
