MOSCOW, November 24 – RIA Novosti. The candidate of economic sciences Mikhail Belyaev says that from December 1, prices for “holiday” long-term storage products will begin to rise in Russia. In an interview with Sputnik radio, he predicted how many percent the prices in stores would increase.
Russians are used to celebrating the New Year on a grand scale, and Belyaev is sure that the prices for products that are usually on the festive table will certainly begin to rise from the first days of December.
According to the economist, the most significant increase will be in fish flavors.
“The biggest growth of 10-15% will be in delicacies like fish and caviar,” says Belyaev.
The economist added that the prices of sparkling wines, cognac and smoked meats could rise.
“The price of delicious smoked meats will increase by about 10%. The price of alcohol will probably increase by 10%. In any case, the price of good sparkling wines will definitely rise, and the cognac line will not stop,” said Mikhail Belyaev. In an interview with radio Sputnik.
He estimates that the cost of vegetables and fruits will increase by about 5%.
