Voronezh Region will participate in the national project “Tourism” in 2023
VORONEZH, November 25 – RIA Novosti. Voronezh Regional Duma Chairman Vladimir Netesov said on Friday at the VII Voronezh Entrepreneurs Forum that the Voronezh region will begin the implementation of the national project “Tourism and hospitality industry” in 2023.
He spoke at the general assembly by talking about the interaction of the legislative and executive authorities of the region in the development of tourism in the region. The Chairman of the Regional Duma drew attention to the importance of the development of domestic tourism, which was brought to the agenda at the forum.
“Although we all have the same problem, the solutions may be different. Here you can talk to experts from other regions, get to know the best practices of your neighbors. We have success in all these areas in our country. It is necessary to consolidate and bring them to a new level of quality,” said Netesov.
According to him, many important tourism investment projects are being implemented in the region today with a total investment of billions of rubles. As of the beginning of October, 873.5 thousand tourists visited the Voronezh region, exceeding the target figure of the regional state program “Development of Culture and Tourism” by a quarter.
“There is a constant debate among officials, entrepreneurs and the public about the long-term strategy of the region in the tourism industry, which was initiated, among other things, by the deputy regional parliament. At the same time, Netyosov said that much attention is paid to improving the regulatory framework in the field of tourism.
He recalled that in 2011, a regional law “On the development of tourism” was developed and adopted in the region. In 2018, a clause on tourist and leisure clusters was added to the law. In this way, it has been possible to attract both domestic and foreign investments to the region, to accelerate the development of small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in the development, production, promotion and sale of tourism services. In September 2022, the law expanded the circle of potential support recipients, especially as this opportunity arose for individuals, including self-employed.
Netesov said that in 2021, the Regional Duma amended the regional law on “State Support for Investment Activities” in order to implement and support entrepreneurial initiatives in the field of tourism. These changes have made it possible to offer different preferences to such projects by expanding the list of important investment projects, especially in the field of tourism. With the adoption of this law, the preparation of a regulatory framework for the implementation of a new national project “Tourism and hospitality industry” in the region began.
“By the way, in 2023 our region will take part in the implementation of this national project for the first time. The draft budget for next year currently provides more than 844 million rubles for the activities planned under this national project,” Netesov said. .
