Roskachestvo: The quality of dumplings in Russia has increased over the year

MOSCOW, December 8 – RIA Novosti. Maxim Protasov, head of Roskachestvo, said in an interview with RIA Novosti that most dumplings producers in Russia managed to improve the situation with the quality of their own products within a year, including solving raw material problems.

So, in 2021, Protasov said, dumplings are included in the list of the lowest quality socially important goods, whose manufacturers violate the rules for storing and manufacturing the product more often than others. Prior to that, in 2019, Roskachestvo conducted an audit of domestic dumplings, which showed that there is not a single brand in the country worthy of the Quality Mark.

“Pelmeni manufacturers have drawn serious conclusions. Almost all of them have passed quality diagnostics of the processes, identified specific problems that caused difficulties with the quality of products on the shelf – it was a matter of raw materials and production. In more than 72% of cases, we were able to correct this situation,” he said.

According to the head of Roskachestvo, manufacturers of meat products have also made progress. “Two years ago we conducted a study on meat products – consumers were very concerned about the quality of sausages and sausages. … The latest rolling study showed that all manufacturers corrected themselves – both the labeling, the recipes and the quality of the raw materials as well as the quality of the products,” he said.
