MOSCOW, December 8 – RIA Novosti. New EU sanctions against Russia could affect 169 organizations that provide goods that contribute to the development of the Russian defense and security sector.
The article states that the package aims to hinder the “development of Russia’s industrial capabilities” with an expanded list of 169 organizations that provide goods that “can contribute to the technological development of the Russian defense and security sector.”
The head of the European Commission presented proposals for a new package of sanctions against Russia on Wednesday. It proposes to introduce additional measures against the energy sector of the Russian Federation, including a ban on investments in the mining industry “to prevent Russia’s access to drones”, including Iran, as well as third countries. It is planned to impose personal sanctions on nearly 200 defendants, including individuals and organizations. We are talking about the army, enterprises of the military-industrial complex, members of the State Duma and the Federation Council, ministers, political parties, heads of regions. As expected, four TV channels and three banks, including the All-Russian Regional Development Bank, will fall under the restrictions.
