Norway backs European Union’s decision to set ceiling on Russian oil prices
MURMANSK, 8 December – RIA Novosti. The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday that Norwegian authorities have imposed a ceiling price of $60 per barrel on crude oil from Russia.
According to Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt, Norway supports the direction of the EU and its other allies on sanctions against Russia. There is already a ban on the import, purchase and transfer of Russian oil to Norway, the EU and third countries, which came into force on 5 December.
