Energy Minister Dönmez: Turkish Stream is operating at 100 percent capacity
ANKARA, 13 December – RIA Novosti. The Turkish Stream pipeline is operating at 100% capacity, knowledgeable Fatih Dönmez, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.
Turkish Stream continues to be the only route for the uninterrupted supply of Russian gas to the European market. This is a natural gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey via the Black Sea with a gas design capacity of 31.5 billion cubic meters per year. Gas is supplied from here to Turkey and in transit to Southern and Southeastern European countries.
“The Turkish Stream pipeline is operating at 100 percent capacity,” Dönmez said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said at an operational meeting with permanent members of the Security Council in October that the Kiev regime is trying to blow up part of the TurkStream gas transmission system. Later, the official representative of the President of Turkey, İbrahim Kalın, stated that Ankara and Moscow were in contact with regard to the security of the natural gas pipeline.
At the end of November, the FSB of the Russian Federation reported that an attempt by the Ukrainian special services to sabotage a gas pipeline in the Volgograd region, through which gas is supplied to Turkey and Europe, was prevented.
