AvtoVAZ will present the first prototype of its e-Largus electric car in Izhevsk by the end of the year
MOSCOW, December 19 – RIA Novosti. The head of the company, Maxim Sokolov, said that AvtoVAZ plans to present the first prototype of the electric version of the Largus model in Izhevsk by the end of the year.
Sokolov reminded that the production of new products will be organized at a factory in Izhevsk. The model will have a high degree of localization. AvtoVAZ announced the start of the project in August, during the announcement of a change in industrial policy – the transfer of Lada Vesta production to the main plant in Togliatti.
AvtoVAZ has production facilities in Togliatti and Izhevsk. In mid-May, the French Renault transferred its stake (67.69%) to the state property of the Russian Federation. The new leadership of AvtoVAZ announced its intention to resume production of almost the entire model line as early as 2023. Now the brand consists of four model families: Vesta, Largus, Granta and Niva.
