Analyst Antonov, called the main goal of the collapse of the ruble exchange rate, reducing the budget deficit
MOSCOW, December 25 – RIA Novosti. The main task of the ruble weakening is to reduce the budget deficit: this process is controlled by the financial authorities and can be stopped if necessary, announced “Prime Minister” financial analyst BitRiver Vladislav Antonov.
He reminded that several factors are putting pressure on the ruble at the same time – subsequent sanctions, oil and gas price ceilings, the growth of the budget deficit, capital outflow and cheaper oil on the world market.
Currently, the ruble needs to weaken to reduce the budget deficit, and officials warned about this in the summer. As expected, the strong ruble contributed to the budget deficit. “If we estimate the deficit at about two trillion rubles, then the dollar rate still needs to rise to 75 rubles to cover the deficit,” Antonov believes.
