MOSCOW, January 12 – RIA Novosti. According to the Russian Export Center (VEB.RF Group), more than 70 small and medium-sized enterprises used EXIAR’s “Deferred payment for SMEs” insurance service in 2022.
The most popular destinations were Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Uzbekistan. The service was also used by companies exporting products to Europe, Persian Gulf countries, Africa and South America.
Small and medium-sized enterprises insured under this program mostly exported food, equipment, spare parts and construction materials. In addition, insurance coverage was obtained from suppliers of pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, furniture, agricultural products, shoes, cosmetics, textiles, packaging materials, chemicals and fertilizers.
Small and medium businesses have access to all classic EXIAR insurance services. The agency has also developed a special SME insurance program that takes into account the needs of this particular business segment. The product “Insurance, deferred payment for SMEs” can be issued online via the My Export digital platform. To get it, you only need to fill out one document: an insurance application. The cost of the service is fixed and amounts to 20,000 rubles. The insurance covers the commercial and political risks of the exporter while working on a deferred payment basis, and at the same time ensures that the exporter protects himself from being unable to fulfill his obligation to return his foreign currency earnings to the country.
