“After some of our so-called partners left our market and our production level rose considerably, our businesses took over what was left of these partners quite easily. That is, we became able to produce ourselves what we could not produce yesterday,” the president said Wednesday in a meeting with workers at the Obukhov Plant, which is part of the Almaz-Antey concern. told.

“Of course, this does not mean that we can produce everything 100%, but we will reach the level of production we need,” said Putin.

The attention of the President was drawn to the fact that the defense industry enterprises work in several shifts due to the increased demand for defense products on the ground of a special military operation in Ukraine. The head of state was asked if, after the completion of the operation, the situation threatened to revert to what it was in the 1990s, when defense enterprises were idle without orders. Putin reminded that the rise of the Russian defense industry began long before the special operations. He reminded that orders in defense enterprises are long-term.
