FAS agrees on prices for first Russian generic for the treatment of abdominal infections
MOSCOW, January 19 – RIA Novosti. The Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation (FAS) has accepted the prices of the first domestic generic drug under the international non-proprietary (INN) name “Ertapenem” for the treatment of infections of the abdominal cavity, lungs, pelvic organs and diabetic foot. ; the drug will be 11% cheaper than the imported analogue, informs Section.
“FAS reached an agreement on the prices of the first generic produced locally within INN Ertapenem… The marginal selling prices agreed by the domestic manufacturer for Ertapenem have been reduced by 11% compared to the registered price of the foreign-made Invanz reference drug. ,” says the report.
The price of a bottle of a domestic generic was 1,751 rubles, while the registered price of a foreign drug was 1,958 rubles.
Therefore, the Ministry states that the price and assortment of these drugs will increase for Russian citizens. “In medical institutions, free medical care will be provided to citizens free of charge under the program of state guarantees,” the FAS said.
