MOSCOW, January 20 – RIA Novosti. From February 1, 2023, the tariff of the state system for collecting tolls from trucks over 12 tons for traveling on the federal roads “Plato” will be indexed lower than planned: 30 kopecks instead of 44 kopecks, 2.84 rubles per kilometer, the report says. “In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of June 29, 2019 No. 843, as part of the annual indexation of February 1, 2023, the fare in the Platonic state system will be 2.84 rubles per km. fare 2.54 rubles per kilometer,” he says.

The “Plato” tariff is indexed each year according to the actual inflation of the previous year. “The actual amount of the fee is calculated annually from January 10 to January 20, taking into account the publication of Rosstat information on the consumer price index for the previous year. According to Rosstat, inflation in Russia in 2022 amounted to 11.94%. The agency made it possible to index the fee in the “Plato” state system, lower than the prescribed value – the tariff increase was 30 kopecks instead of 44 kopecks.

The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation also announced that if the annual tariff index is not applied, the Federal Road Fund will not receive 4 billion rubles in 2023: about 200 km of roads can be repaired with this money.

The ministry also stressed that the impact of indexation on the final cost of transported goods is extremely insignificant. “For example, a 20-ton truck transports juice (19,000 packages) along the Vologda-Moscow route at a distance of 480 km. Taking into account the indexation of the Platon tariff from 2.54 rubles / km to 30 kopecks / km, in the cost of transportation . the increase will be 145 rubles. This can affect the increase in the cost of a pack of juice by 0.8 kopecks.”

To date, more than 763 thousand cargo carriers and more than 1.7 million heavy trucks are registered in the state system. Thanks to the operation of the system in 2022, the Federal Highway Fund received 39.7 billion rubles, it was used to repair about 1,100 km of roads in the Russian regions.
