Tax advantages for SEZ residents will be established in Kuzbass

KEMEROVO, January 23 – RIA Novosti. The press service of the regional government reported that tax benefits for residents of special economic zones will be established in Kuzbass.

“The Kuzbass government supported the draft law “On Amending the Law of the Kemerovo Region” on Investment, Innovation and Production Activities, Management Organizations of Technoparks, Basic Organizations of Technoparks and Tax Benefits for Residents of Developed Social Zones and Economic Development” and Article 6 of the Law of Kemerovo Region “About shipping tax”. It will be presented for discussion and vote by deputies of the Kuzbass parliament on January 25.”

It has been clarified that the draft law provides a reduction in the income tax rate for those residing in the SEZ for 20 years, and this will be transferred to the regional budget. For this reason, it is planned that the residents will not be taxed for the first 5 years. It will be 5% for the next five tax periods; for the next 10 years, but not longer than the existence of the special economic zone – 13.5%.

Also, for trucks, buses and other self-propelled machines and mechanisms on pneumatic and tracked rails (starting from the tax period in which this vehicle was registered, but the period in which there is a maximum of SEZ).

“In November 2022, the President of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin signed a decision on the creation of a special economic zone of the Kuzbass industrial production type investment environment. First of all, there may be attractive new tax incentives for new residents,” the press service of Governor Sergei Tsivilev transmits.

According to Konstantin Pytchenko, Minister of Economic Development of Kuzbass, in 2023 it is planned to consider at least six applications from potential residents of the special economic zone, with an expected investment of about 93 billion rubles and the creation of at least 1.2 thousand jobs. 2030. 9 more companies are ready to implement projects on the territory of the SEZ with a total investment of about 30 billion rubles, as a result, more than 800 jobs will be created.
