Mankiewicz: Russia-China relations should be developed through joint initiatives
MOSCOW, January 24 – RIA Novosti. The creation of joint Russian-Chinese enterprises is the only correct development of trade and economic relations between these two countries, but building them only on the sale of raw materials and goods is a dead end, said the head of the Russian-Asian Union, Vitaly Mankevich. Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RASPP) told RIA Novosti.
“In general, I deeply believe that the Russian-Chinese joint ventures are the only correct development of our trade and economic relations at the moment. Building them on the sole trade of raw materials and goods is a dead end.” I said.
“So, if Russia now buys everything it needs from China and sells its energy resources to it in return, then in the long run our country runs the risk of becoming China’s raw material add-on.”
According to him, progress is already on the way to creating joint ventures.
“At the same time, we believe that 80% of the employees in such joint ventures should be local residents, and the management should be Russian-Chinese joint,” said the head of RUIE.
