During a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said that the Ministry of Economic Development will develop an action plan to implement the concept of developing cruise tourism in Russia, which will include the construction and repair of ships, mooring walls, river stations. .

“At a recent meeting in the government, the Ministry of Economic Development was instructed to draft an action plan, together with all relevant federal executive authorities and enterprises, and most importantly, to implement the concept of developing cruise tourism in Russia by 2024,” said Chernyshenko.

He pointed out that the cruise industry was taking over several areas at once. “Regulations on recycling fees, including the work done by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in terms of organizing the production of these ships and generating demand. Here are promising technologies, because the Ministry of Education and Science creates technologies that allow our entrepreneurs to do. For example, environmentally friendly electric ships. There is a lot of work to do with infrastructure, mooring walls, river stations,” he added.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the measure project will be synchronized with all previously launched state programs in this area.
