Aleksandrovsky: 70 percent of Aeroflot’s fleet will consist of Russian aircraft
MOSCOW, January 30 – RIA Novosti. The company’s CEO, Sergei Aleksandrovsky, told reporters that 70% of Aeroflot’s fleet by 2030 will consist of Russian aircraft.
“We plan to put into operation 339 domestic aircraft by 2030 and develop capabilities to maintain airworthiness (UAC and Aeroflot signed an agreement in 2022 to supply 339 aircraft in 2023-2030 – ed.). The ratio of domestic and foreign aircraft Aleksandrovsky, of the group park will be between 30% and 70%, respectively,” he said.
He explained that these parameters can be adjusted during the operation of the fleet: according to a prudent estimate, by the end of 2030 the number of aircraft in the fleet will be about 500 aircraft. This forecast can be revised more optimistically in order to increase the number of imported aircraft and accordingly the market share.
“From the first deliveries, the domestic aircraft will be distributed between Aeroflot and Rossiya. So far we have only one framework contract, but we are working on definitive contracts. The first two aircraft – SSJ New – are scheduled to be delivered in December 2023. We will reach a final contract in the near future. One or “There can be ten contracts, the number doesn’t matter. Negotiating the contracts takes quite a long time. It’s not just the rental fee and the number of planes. There are many issues. It’s about maintaining airworthiness, engine maintenance, units, etc.”
Aleksandrovsky also noted that the first import-substituted MS-21 is scheduled to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The company will also need about eight full flight simulators. “There is no deadline yet for the delivery of the simulators. We wait. The simulator usually appears after the aircraft, six to eight months after delivery,” said the general manager.
