The terms of the sale will be “extremely short,” according to the minister. “It seems to me it’s a matter of a month or two. There, this deal will either happen or it won’t,” Shadayev said.
Dutch Veon announced in early November that it will sell its Russian business to Vimpelcom. A short time later, it was announced that the company would be acquired by its top management, headed by CEO Alexander Torbakhov, for 130 billion rubles. The deal was to be evaluated by the Foreign Investment Commission.
