Mishustin said that the negative forecasts for the stability of the EAEU did not materialize
ALMA-ATA, February 3 – RIA Novosti. Speaking at an extended meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on Friday, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that negative forecasts for the stability of the Eurasian Economic Union have not materialized.
He recalled that in 2023, Russia heads the bodies of the association and aims to maintain a dynamic and productive dialogue to strengthen integration in all fields, including political, economic, industrial, financial and technological.

He also pointed out that the situation in the world economy is changing rapidly: Ordinary trade relations are deteriorating, transportation and logistics chains are deteriorating, and food security problems are intensifying.
He said that in January-November 2022, the EAEU GDP fell by only 1.2%, while industrial production remained at the level of almost a year ago.
“We have seen positive dynamics in some key areas, such as more than 5% increase in agricultural production, more than 5.5% increase in construction work, very good pace in the mining industry and investment in fixed assets.” Cabinet of the Russian Federation.
Mishustin also said that while preparing the presidential priorities in the union organs, Russia took into account the emerging international economic situation and the aggravation of the geopolitical situation. One of the tasks is the preparation of new long-term planning documents for 2030 and 2045.
“The Eurasian Economic Commission presented a report on the implementation of previously reached agreements, including strategic directions for the development of Eurasian economic integration by 2025. Tremendous work has been done, new tasks are now coming to the fore – it is necessary to respond Mishustin, “Proceed quickly and outline further collaboration right now. And, of course, I want the commission to organize the relevant study,” he said.
