Tomsk Governor Mazur agreed with DPR Deputy Head Pushilin on cooperation between regions
NOVOSIBIRSK, February 5 – RIA Novosti. The governor of the Tomsk region, Vladimir Mazur, during a working trip to the Donetsk People’s Republic, agreed with the regional head Denis Pushilin on the development of cooperation between the regions in the scientific, technological and other fields, the regional administration reported on Saturday.
“In the Tomsk region, we are successfully solving the problem of cooperation between industrial production and the scientific and educational complex. Our place in the top three regions leading in terms of scientific and technological development is proof of this. I am sure that our regions have many contact points for mutually beneficial cooperation in the future,” said Mazur. and offered to strengthen cooperation with DPR in the technological field.
Regional heads discussed the examples of economic cooperation separately. Thus, the Tomsk company Ilma, together with the workers of the Yasinovatsky Machine-Building Plant and Kuzbass production, produced the first import-substitution tunneling machine for work in the DPR. According to Mazur and Pushilin, cooperation in the machine building sector is one of the promising areas for collaboration.
The head of the DPR added that the leadership and residents of the Tomsk region are already supporting Donbass in many areas. This humanitarian aid includes the work of Tomsk doctors in civil hospitals of the republic, dozens of tons of building materials, support for refugees, etc.
The regional heads agreed to form a joint working group for closer cooperation in the economic, scientific, educational, social and humanitarian fields.
