Electric vehicle production in Russia planned to increase ninefold by 2023
MOSCOW, February 9 – RIA Novosti. In 2023, the production of electric vehicles in the Russian Federation is planned to increase ninefold, up to 18 thousand vehicles. MessageIt was published on the Ministry’s website.
At the end of 2021, the concept of developing the production and use of electric transport by 2030 in the Russian Federation was approved. Its first phase – the start of production – started last year. Now the second is implemented – increasing demand and increasing the workload of production.
“The Ministry of Industry and Trade is already implementing a series of support measures to increase the production of electric vehicles and to localize the necessary components and to stimulate the demand for electric vehicles. “For preferential vehicle loans and leasing, R&D subsidy, a mechanism for concluding private investment contracts with manufacturers, and existing programs of the Industrial Development Fund,” said Albert Karimov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.
The government also reminded that in 2022, 439 fast charging stations were created in 12 pilot regions within the scope of the concept. According to the First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov, by 2024 the number of charging stations in the country should be around 3,000 only within the framework of the strategic initiative of “Electric car and hydrogen car” socio-economic development.
