Novak: Work is underway to accelerate the construction of the Far East route and Power of Siberia 2
MOSCOW, February 13 – RIA Novosti. Gazprom is working to accelerate the construction of the Far Eastern route and Siberian Power 2, the projects will attract additional investments of trillions of rubles, knowledgeable Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak in his author’s article in the journal “Energy Policy”.
“We see growth potential in gas supply to the Asia-Pacific Region. Studies have been intensified to further diversify the export infrastructure. The development of the “Chinese vector” is also connected with the route, which includes the construction of the Siberian Power 2 pipeline for 50 billion cubic meters per year through Mongolia. The project is being worked on. Gazprom currently supplies gas to China through the Power of Siberia pipeline.
