MOSCOW, February 21 – RIA Novosti. Moscow’s Deputy Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations, Vladimir Yefimov, said that in the first half of the 19th century, Moscow signed a concession agreement with an investor for the reconstruction and subsequent opening of a hotel in an empty city building.
“Sever company, which already has experience in this business, won the open tender for the right to conclude the first concession contract to open a hotel of about 370 square meters with the municipality. For the implementation of the project, the investor will receive a three-story main building, built in 1840 on Serebryanichesky Lane, The ownership of the building will remain with the municipality.
Under the terms of the agreement, the investor undertakes to rebuild the historic building within two years and to keep it in good condition in the future. At the same time, the future hotel must have at least a three-star category.
Efimov added that thanks to the concession mechanism, the city authorities re-circulated the real estates in need of repair and reconstruction, and improved the tourism sector by increasing the hotel stock.
