The head of Sberbank Gref does not know whether the bank will be subject to the law on voluntary contributions
MOSCOW, March 9 – RIA Novosti. The head of the credit organization, German Gref, said that some options for companies’ voluntary contributions to the budget include Sberbank’s contribution, but there is no final agreement.
In early February, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov announced that the Russian government is working with business on a one-time voluntary contribution payment in 2023. Explaining that this is the contribution of large enterprises, Belousov added that the financial results of some companies were very good last year.
“So far there is no final understanding, because there are different versions. In different versions we are to some extent the payers, but at the moment it is not possible to make a final assessment. In any case, we are a lawman.” “As soon as the law comes into effect, we will stick with the company and strictly abide by all the provisions of the law,” said Gref, responding to the question of what possibility would be offered, whether Sberbank would be affected by companies making a one-time payment to the budget, which is now being discussed.
