Former Kazakh subsidiary of Sberbank will only accept part of Mir cards

Mir is a Russian national payment system operated by the National Payment Card System JSC (NSPK). NSPK is 100% owned by the Central Bank of Russia.

Some countries have also shown interest in tying Mir cards, including Iran, Indonesia, Myanmar, Egypt, Thailand, India, Venezuela, Mauritius, Nigeria and Ethiopia.
