MOSCOW, March 16 – RIA Novosti. Deputy Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov said that in January 2023, enterprises of the capital increased the production of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies by 2.2 times compared to the same period last year.
“According to the results of January, drug production increased by 2.2 times. Positive dynamics are largely due to the active support of enterprises in the city. For example, tax incentives are received by enterprises with the status of industrial complex. Currently, it is allocated to seven manufacturers of the sector,” he said.
He noted that 95 pharmaceutical businesses currently operate in the city and employ more than 15,000 people. They produce antibiotics and vaccines, drugs for the treatment of diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular diseases, for the treatment of nervous system disorders, and others.
