Medvedev: Trade with EU fell due to fault of Europe losing more than Russia
MOSCOW, March 23 – RIA Novosti. Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, said that the trade volume between Russia and the European Union was greatly shaken by the EU’s decisions, but they lost much more than us.
“Not long ago, our trade turnover with the European Union was 400 (billion dollars – ed.), now it’s skyrocketed because they made stupid decisions. God judge them, they lost a lot more than we did. I think look, although of course we lost too,” he said in an interview with leading Russian media, including RIA Novosti.
Medvedev also noted that Russia’s trade with China will reach $300 billion by 2023-2024.
