“Today we have a common approach to designation of production sites at automotive enterprises for almost all projects, with the exception of Haval (where production is carried out directly under the Chinese brand), to create joint production, so production will be organized in this organization with the participation of our foreign partners – in this case, our Chinese colleagues. But the final decision has not been made yet,” he said.
Earlier on Thursday, the newspaper Izvestia, citing sources, reported that the Mercedes factory in the Moscow region could start producing Chinese premium Hongqi cars, and Avtodom, a potential buyer of the company, is now considering this possibility.
