Abu Dhabi’s livestock and retail businesses have reported an increase in demand for meat in markets since the start of the holy month, according to sales representatives and meat business owners.
Ali Shujaa, Chairman of the Board of Al-Waha Group of Companies, told Al-Ittihad that the activity rate increased compared to last year, indicating that this remarkable activity coincided with the start of the holy month of Ramadan.
He underlined that all animals slaughtered in the “My Slaughter” app are subject to integrated medical monitoring in the municipalities and authorized slaughterhouses, recalling that the “My Slaughter” app is determined not to increase prices for consumers and to keep them as they were before of Ramadan. . , despite the increase in import facilities.
He added that as a result of the growing demand for meat purchases throughout the year, we have increased the number of vehicles delivering slaughtered animals to all cities and emirates in the country and are committed to reaching customers in just 3 hours.
According to him, consumers prefer to buy whole carcasses every year during the month of Ramadan, and most consumers prefer to buy local Naimi, Najdi sheep and goats, as well as local calves.
