Russian Railways disagrees with the Prosecutor General’s conclusions regarding violations along the BAM and Trans-Siberian Railway
It was noted that the new facility provides the necessary conditions for increasing the capacity of the Trans-Siberian Railway’s southern crossing and increases the reliability of the region’s energy system.
The power transmission line route passes through the eastern and southern regions of the region, parallel to the existing 220 kV power transmission line feeding the traction crossing of the Krasnoyarsk railway. During construction, over 1.5 thousand supports were installed and more than 1.3 thousand km of wire was laid. To connect the new transmission line, the existing 500 kV “Kamala-1” and 220 kV “Minusinskaya-opornaya” substations were upgraded.
In parallel mode, the Krasnoyarsk Railway is modernizing eight traction substations, scheduled for completion in 2023.
Implementation of Rosseti and Russian Railways projects to increase the carrying capacity of the southern route of the Trans-Siberian Railway will make it possible to shorten the movement intervals of heavy freight trains by 2.5 times. Especially on the section from Sayanskaya to Taishet, the capacity of the railway will increase almost 3 times – from 60 to 168 freight trains per day.
The court accepted that the warranty of Russian Railways for the owner of Allegro trains was terminated.
