Authorities are discussing extending the ban on truck entry from the EU into Russia until the end of 2023.
MOSCOW, April 10 – RIA Novosti. The Russian authorities are discussing the extension of the ban on the entry of trucks from European Union countries, England, Norway and Ukraine, which is valid until 30 June, for another six months, until the end of 2023. The representative of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Andrey Belousov said in a statement.
In addition, the government commission considered the possibility of reducing the list of goods not subject to the transport ban. Currently, the restrictions do not apply to about 40 product groups: a range of food products, medicines, cosmetics and humanitarian supplies. Also discussed was the lifting of restrictions on the transfer of foreign trucks on the territory of temporary storage warehouses.
According to Belousov, the need for trucks for spare parts that are not included in the parallel import list must be constantly monitored. The First Deputy Prime Minister said, “The importance of state support, especially for domestic automotive parts manufacturers, should be noted.” In the future, members of the government commission will consider the possibility of resuming the program, which encourages the purchase of domestic truck tractors through subsidies.
As a result of the meeting, the Ministry of Transport was instructed to continue to monitor, on a monthly basis, the work of checkpoints and temporary storage warehouses, including time, together with the Russian Federal Customs Service and the International Association of Road Carriers (ASMAP). control measures, paperwork, cost of transportation of goods and transfer/transfer services provided in temporary storage warehouses.

Poland reported to Belarus the ban on the passage of trucks through the “Kukuryki” checkpoint.
