Rosstat: Smartphones fell 1.5% during the week, TV prices fell 0.9%
MOSCOW, May 25 – RIA Novosti. According to Rosstat, from May 14 to May 20, the prices of smartphones in Russia increased by 1.5%, TVs – by 0.9%, and vacuum cleaners by 0.5%.
“Smartphone prices fell 1.5% and TV prices fell 0.9%,” the report says. At the same time, vacuum cleaner prices rose 0.5% in the same period.
In total, since the beginning of the year in Russia, the prices of smartphones have increased by 9%, TVs by 7.6% and vacuum cleaners by 14.6%.
Western countries began to impose a new set of harsh sanctions against Russia in response to a special operation against Ukraine. In this regard, a number of foreign equipment manufacturers, in particular Apple, announced the suspension of deliveries to the Russian Federation.
According to Price.ru, a service for comparing goods and prices, in the first three weeks since the start of the special operation, prices for household appliances in Russian online stores increased by an average of 50%. During this period, the price of Apple products increased by 13-142%, Samsung equipment – by 12-53%.
Against the background of rising prices, the FAS began to control sellers of household appliances and electronics “Technopark-Center” and DNS. At the same time, demand for used equipment in the country increased by 16-35% in March, according to data from ad placement services.
Machine prices began to decline in April. According to Price.ru, the prices of the most popular models of smartphones and laptops in Russian online stores fell by an average of 10-20% in April compared to March.
