The press service noted that the share of cars of European brands in dealerships fell from 27% to 6% – in fact, European car brands are leaving the market. The number of Japanese brand cars in dealerships in western Russia fell from 18% to 6% in the east of the country – from 18% to 10%.
“The general structure of the dealer market has completely changed: it is now dominated by Chinese brands,” the source said, adding that this trend is also observed in Russia as a whole.
According to him, the shares of second-hand foreign cars and domestic cars in the secondary market did not change in 2023 compared to 2022. The share of Russian cars is 14%, Japanese – 49%, Korean – 11%, Chinese – 2%, European – 18%, American – 5%, the rest – about 1%.
