Putin signed a law allowing obtaining a tax number through a single public services portal
MOSCOW, May 28 – RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law allowing citizens to register with tax authorities through a single portal of public services. The document is published on the official portal of legal information.
The law allows an individual to submit an application for tax registration in electronic form through the public services portal and sign it with an advanced unqualified electronic signature. In turn, the tax authority can also send the TIN to such a person electronically, through public services.
Appropriate amendments have been made to Article 84 of the Tax Code. They should enter into force on December 1, 2022.
Now, for tax registration, a citizen can apply electronically on the official website of the Federal Tax Service, but to obtain a certificate, you must visit the tax office. Once the changes take effect, this process will be entirely electronic.
This is very convenient not only for Russians, but also for foreign citizens who want to work in Russia: even before their arrival, they will be able to negotiate with employers and draw up the necessary documents in advance, including registration for tax purposes, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin explained.
The chairman of the Council of Ministers noted that the expansion of the list of services provided in electronic form greatly facilitates and accelerates the receipt of the necessary documents and certificates, eliminating the need for people to visit a number of institutions and departments.
