Rosatom built a new Kuzminskaya wind farm in the Stavropol Territory
MOSCOW, June 5 – RIA Novosti. Kuzminskaya wind power plant (RES), built by Rosatom in the Stavropol Territory using import-substituting components, has begun to supply electricity to the Russian power system, according to the press service of the wind energy department of the state nuclear company NovaWind JSC.
According to the report, the station has an installed capacity of 160 MW and consists of 64 wind turbines.

“The Kuzminskaya wind farm is our eighth wind farm in the south of Russia and the sixth in the Stavropol Region. Despite the sanctions pressure, we have not stopped the construction of the plant. The first 100 MW has already entered the country’s unified energy system. NovaWind CEO Grigory Nazarov, given in the message,” said.
“In a short time, the supply chain was reinstated, the replacement of old technologies with Russian developments and the provision of production with the necessary components. Kuzminskaya RES is our first wind farm equipped on a new supply chain, considering the strengthening of the technological dominance of the wind energy sector,” he said.
Wind energy is one of Rosatom’s main non-nuclear areas. JSC “NovaWind” controls all the competencies of the state enterprise in the field of wind energy – from design and construction to power engineering and operation of wind farms. Rosatom has so far commissioned 880 MW of wind power capacity. In total, by 2027, Rosatom plans to commission wind farms with a total capacity of approximately 1.7 GW.
