Head of the Amur Region Orlov spoke about measures to support social enterprises

BLAGOVESCHENSK, June 3 – RIA Novosti. Vasily Orlov, Governor of the Amur Region said about measures to support social business.

Social entrepreneurship is a specific form of business approved at the legislative level in 2019. According to federal law No. 209, this is an activity aimed at achieving socially useful goals and contributing to the solution of social problems.

“Entrepreneurs need to be more actively informed about what kind of support they can count on. Many of them actually run socially oriented businesses, but do not receive any benefits because they are not included in the register. The status of the social enterprise entitles them to a wide range of support measures, as well as receiving government support, social it makes it possible to repay part of the implementation costs of projects, to receive funds borrowed at a low interest rate of up to 4.75% per annum. Orlov, quoted by the government of the Amur Region, gives guarantees to social entrepreneurs.

The Ministry of Economic Development and Foreign Relations of the Amur Region is evaluating 91 packages of documents from entrepreneurs whose business has applied for “social” status.

As noted by the government of the Amur Region, more than 50 of these applications were made by entrepreneurs from the regional center – Blagoveshchensk. There are also applicants from Svobodny, Belogorsk, Tynda and other municipalities. Those who pass the election will be included in the register on 10 July.

Thanks to the support of social enterprises in Blagoveshchensk, one of the centers of psychological help bought expensive equipment in 2021.

“We used the grant funds to buy diagnostic equipment. Within a year or two we were only able to save up and buy on our own. Also, electricity bills were included in the grant application. Oksana Kukshenyova, Minister of Economic Development and Foreign Relations of the Amur Region, noted that one of the social business preferences is the reduced tax rate under the simplified taxation system.

“For the second year in a row, social entrepreneurs can receive grants of up to 500,000 rubles. The funds received are to pay rent and repair buildings, buy office equipment and equipment, connect to utilities and electricity networks, pay bills and electricity and other expenses,” he added.
