On Tuesday, the issue of import substitution in the face of economic restrictions was discussed at the joint meeting of the Council of State commissions on “Industry”, “Science” and “Small and Medium Enterprises”.
“The solution to the problem of ensuring the technological sovereignty of the country is possible with the close integration of the needs and capabilities of industry, the scientific community and small and medium-sized enterprises. Each of them is an important and necessary element of all imports. According to the governor, the withdrawal of foreign companies from the Russian market means new niches that can be occupied by domestic enterprises, but a significant part of them needs modern scientific developments. According to Dyumin, accelerated technological development is not possible without suitable personnel. He asked the Ministry of Education and Science, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, to consider expanding the list of measures and the amount of funding for engineering universities to develop cooperation with manufacturing enterprises.
Dyumin also drew attention to the importance of cooperation and inclusion of small and medium-sized enterprises in the import substitution process.
Dyumin also appealed to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia to consider the possibility of expanding programs of preferential revolving and investment loans to small and medium enterprises for enterprises producing taxable goods.
