“The implementation of an export strategy is a fundamental thing. During the development of the strategy, the teams delve into the characteristics of their region and their business, forming an idea of what support measures are required specifically for them. Then, the Regions implement their export programs to achieve the goals set in the strategy.” explained Genkel.
It reminded me of Regional Export Standard 2.0. It includes 15 tools that help ensure real growth conditions in the export of commodities and non-energy goods. This year, 75 regions have already implemented some standard tools. In November, the REC presented a rating of regions on the implementation of the standard. The leaders of the rating were the Omsk region, Altai region, Vladimir, Ryazan, Novgorod and Volgograd regions.
Genkel also touched upon the importance of training qualified personnel in the field of foreign economic activity. In particular, REC Export School organized export training for regional teams from 45 regions for three years.
